Seminary Day

Malankara Orthodox Church recognises the importance of both its Theological Seminaries -  Orthodox Theological Seminary at Kottayam and St.Thomas Orthodox Theological Serninary at Nagpur. Every year, the Church sets apart one Sunday as the Seminary Day. HH Catholicos sends 'Kalpana' (encyclicals) to the parishes regarding the same.Students of the Seminaries are send to selected churches, to participate the Holy Qurbana and communicate to the laity about acivities and requirements of the Seminaries.
Special prayers are conducted for the Seminaries. A Cover Collection and special offertory are also raised, the amount from which are shared among the 2 Seminaries.
