Prathyasa Counselling Centre

The Prathyasa Counselling Centre was started at the Sophia Centre in 1996 with a view to help the people to achieve deeper awareness of their own personality, in a changing world. This will also help the people to carry out their lives according to the spiritual directions of the Church. So far, 50 students from different fields and areas have passed out from the centre after having successfully completed the Counselling course.

The course includes Personality development, healthy communication, how to give Counselling to others in their needs etc. This is a one-year course and the classes are given in different sessions with each session having three days in a month. A Diploma in Pastoral Counselling is being awarded to those who successfully complete the theory and practical of the course. The Director of the Counselling Centre shall be available on Wednesdays and Thursdays of the academic year for those who need counselling.
